The World Society for the Protection of Animals, formed in 1981 from a merger of two animal charities, rebranded in 2014. Campaigns have included ending bear dancing in India and stray dog rabies vaccination schemes across Asia. It offers emergency vet care in disaster areas, most recently following floods in Costa Rica.
